8 things college has taught me!

To celebrate the end of my first year of college I decided to make a list of the things I have learn over this past year! Not like the concepts I learned in class, but more lessons of surviving college. So here is my list of 8 things college has taught me :)
1. 5 hour energy works...like really good! They are great for late night studying!
2. It is possible to write a five page paper the night before and get an A on it.
3. Although it is possible, procrastinating is a horrible, terrible idea.
4. Advisers are not helpful....just do your schedule on your own it saves time and energy.
5. Do not over commit (I haven't quite learned this yet though...)
6. Taking 2 science classes in the same semester is a badddd idea
7. You learn how to work on a budget because you WILL be pretty much broke (unless your parents pay for everything :P)
8. College will be the biggest accomplishment of my life and I will feel soooo proud when I graduate!

Here are some photos of this past year :)

The Glorious Superstitions

There are few things more beautiful that the Superstition Mountains in the morning...and I have the privilege of being able to see them every time I look out my window! :) My dad and I went out hiking early one Saturday morning and I was able to capture some of the beauty :) Enjoy!

Hi Blogspot, I am alive

As I sit here typing this post I SHOULD be studying my brain out for biology, as well as finishing the Scientific review response that is due tomorrow....but I'm not, deal with it. Life, lately, has been...insane, hectic, and stressful. Its as if I live at school and work and just happen to visit my home every once in a while. My brain is in overload...I have 3 tests this week, a biology exam, a biology practicle, and an anatomy practicle. Basically my teachers are plotting against me. These are my most important classes, the ones that I NEED to do superbly well in and right now it is entirely overwhelming. Oh well...this too shall pass and then I will be on spring break thank God!! Skiing down a beautiful white mountain without a care in the world...sounds like heaven.

Books are bad for me!

After reading the hunger games (well ive only gotten through the first two books) girls are left thinking "Where in the world are the Peetas?!" I know I have! A guy who is nice, sweet, and will to sacrifice himself in order to protect you?! Sign me up for one of them please! haha! It is very unfair for writers to create such perfect characters because let's be honest, there are no perfect girls or boys out there! But im sure I am not the only girl wishing for a Peeta while reading the Hunger Games :)
Oh yeah ;) hahahah

New Semester, New year, New things!

I am so extremely excited to tell you all about all the things I will be doing this semester!! I love trying new things (even though those things sometimes make me nervous) but I find that I enjoy life so much more when I take the plunge and try things I have never tried before! So here are some of the new things I will be trying this semester!

Firstly, one of my Christmas presents was indoor skydiving! I am crazy excited to get a chance to feel that ultimate thrill (without that fear of death in the back of my mind) haha

School is gonna be more challenging this semester as well. My classes include BIO 182, Anatomy, English 102, Humanities, and Health and Wellness. My Bio class is at a wonderful 7:30 in the morning -.- yeahhhh.... but my teachers all seem to expect a lot out of their students so it looks as though I will be working hard in all my classes.

I also just recently began my new job at the Landmark and so far it is a wonderful place to work! It is not very difficult and has a wonderful atmosphere! I enjoy learning this new job and am looking forward to being trained as a waitress in the future!

I will also be assisting Allison with guard this DRRT season! I am so excited to get back into guard, I have missed it so much!!

And if you are worried that I won't have enough time to blog and take photographs you are wrong! I will also be photographing the children's ministry at my church and will be posting the adorable photos right here :) I will try to blog as much as possible but bear with me if I don't for a period of time!

I cannot wait to share all of my new experiences with you!!

Happy New Years!!

WOW it is 2012! As you age time starts going by faster, I swear it really does!! This year I didn't make any New Years resolutions, partly because when I set difficult ones, I don't really achieve them! I'd rather continue working on what I have already been striving for. I have been doing pretty good at going to the gym at least three times a week (excluding these last couple holiday weeks). I also have been working on strengthening my relationship with God! I have been trying to do Bible reading and prayer every morning and I really enjoy that special time each day. I will also continue to work hard in school, once the new semester starts up.

On another note, I had a wonderful New Years! My uncle and three of his kids (my cousins) came over to our house and we had a blast! It was a night full of Twister, Just Dance, Food, Fireworks, and lots of CAFFEINE! I had two work a double Friday and Saturday, so I am a bit tired to say the least haha :) It was so cute to see my little cousin, Sophia, so enraptured in the fireworks :) haha she absolutely loved them and way a bit too fearless when it came to lighting them!

Another wonderful thing about this day is that it is my three month with Michael :) He is an incredibly wonderful boyfriend and I am sooooo blessed to have him in my life <3 He is taking me on the second part of my Christmas present tomorrow and I am very excited! (even though I don't know what it is!)

Happy New Years everyone! I hope that your 2012 will be full of happiness and blessings :)
